3. Information About Children

Many of our students are children. Where a student is under 18, we collect and process their information only with the consent of a parent or legal guardian, who registers the child and manages related communications on their behalf. We collect no more information about a child than is reasonably necessary to provide safe, effective karate instruction.

We retain student and parent information for as long as the student is actively enrolled, and for a reasonable period afterward for record-keeping, safety, and legal purposes. Parents or adult students may request earlier deletion of non-essential information, subject to any records we are required to keep.

We take reasonable administrative and technical measures to protect student and parent information from unauthorised access, loss, or misuse. Access to student records, including health information, is limited to authorised academy staff who need it to provide instruction.
